Alexis from AMG Fashions is our SlubBlogger of the Week and she believes in reusing clothes by creating mix-and-match outfits. She shares her experience of blogging and her love towards fashion & style!
Hi there! My name is Alexis and I am a fashion blogger. I live in the suburbs outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. My blog goes by the name of AMGFASHIONS. I’ve been blogging for over 4 years now. I started when I was in college. I mastered in Fashion Merchandising. I have always loved fashion and I love expressing myself with my style and through what I was wearing. I truly believe that when you look good, you feel good.
I wanted to share my love for fashion with other women so they could feel the same way. I began a blog to share my daily outfits, fashion tips & tricks, how to wear the latest trends, and where to find what I’m wearing at affordable prices. I’m all about looking good at an affordable cost.
On my blog, I provide links to what I’m wearing and to similar items. I want every woman to feel beautiful by with what she’s wearing. I hope my blog inspires women to wear what they want and step outside the box. My personal style is all about being fashionable but comfortable and on a budget.
I don’t believe you need to spend a ton of money on clothing. Versatility is also key. I love a piece that I can wear multiple ways or something that will never go out of style. Some days I’m super girly with a pair of pumps, a mini skirt and a frilly top. Other days I’m more casual with a pair of overalls, graphic tee, and some Converse. I’m all over the place and that’s what I believe is the best!
Style is meant to express yourself and how you’re feeling and that can change everyday. In this look I’m wearing a striped jumpsuit. I love jumpsuits because they’re easy and comfortable. You look fashionable without much effort when wearing a jumpsuit. This jumpsuit fit perfectly and the vertical stripes help to elongate my figure. I paired it with a pair of chunky tan wedges to dress it up a bit. I think blues and oranges look very compatible with tans and browns so that’s why I went with tan wedges.
Jumpsuits are a great summer go-to and are always in style. I added a few accessories as well. Accessories really help to “wow” an outfit. Since this jumpsuit was kind of low cut, I made sure to add a necklace so my chest wasn’t bare. I truly believe that an outfit is never complete without earrings, so of course, I’m wearing one. This look is great for a summer night out or even for a casual day. It can go either way!
