Fashion Essentials for Spring 2016
The Checkered Cut-Out Booties
Cut-Out shoes were in last Spring too. With geometric patterns and what not. But for next Spring, we are loving the classic take on cut-outs – the checkered pattern!

The Silk Tennis Skirt
I’m adoring the idea of converting a tennis skirt (no pleats) that has forever been a sexy sport item, into a date night garment! Men would love this! Or maybe not – I don’t understand men. 😛

The Thick Ankle Strap with Front Buckle
Thick ankle strap heels are my latest obsession! Especially when they are in unusual colors! And this one also comes with a front buckle!
The White Jumpsuit
The jumpsuit and the culottes are two items that are not going out of trend any time soon! The white jumpsuit is the new kid on the block. It looks less bridal gown-like and still classy and elegant for when we don’t wanna wear prints or plain black!
The Long Ribbon Belt
Long belts that graze the knees and even ankles were all over London Fashion Week. But I’m loving this sexy and feminine ribbon belt!

The Science Dress
Dumb is out and nerd is in! And we professional women don’t mind showing off our smarts in fashion, do we? I’m loving this ‘digestive system’ embellished tee-shirt-dress!
The Round Rope Belt
The rope belt has been trendy this summer too. But we saw many round rope belts in London Fashion Week, so we’re gonna wear them through next Summer! It’s a statement accessory! Sign us up!
The White Sneakers
Yet another shoe that’s not going out of trend this Spring is the white sneaker.
The Front-Slit Skirt
Slits are a must-have this season, whether it’s dresses or skirts. And the front-slit is a bold item to pull off! Are you game?

The Skinny Scarf
Spring is the perfect time to wear skinny scarves – when it’s not too cold to bundle up the thick knits! The skinny scarf by Jonathan Saunders here is not just a twirled up regular scarf. It’s just a light-weight narrow scarf. Plus it adds oodles of color to this otherwise-also-colorful-outfit!

The Tie-Up Belt
Tie-up belts are usually ribbons or pieces of fabric that in some way make it structureless. But this one here is a structured skinny buckled belt. Tied up into a large bow! We love!
The Cape Jacket
Cape jackets are not new. We’ve been seeing them in the latest trends for this Fall. Plus, recent Hollywood movie ‘The Man from U.N.C.L.E.’ had a gorgeous one. Do check it out in my earlier article The Man from UNCLE Movie Fashion: 60s Style Dresses. So if you haven’t caught up with this trend yet, upto next Spring will be a great time to wear one!
Here are two – a mid-length one and a longer one (calf-length) with sleeve-holes, both by Burberry. I totally want one!

The Sheer Formal Jacket
Sheer dresses, sheer skirts, sheer tops, and now – sheer formal jackets! Check out this double-breasted sheer jacket!
The Multi-Slit Dress/ Skirt
Slits are so in trend that we are seeing all lengths and patterns. Here’s the multi-slit dress that we are digging! Let’s add it to our Spring 2016 must-have fashion items!
This one here is a slashed multi-slit skirt, much like some from Dior Autumn Winter 2015 collection.
The Cape-Top
Cape-tops are the new midi-dresses! We’ve seen them everywhere from New York Fashion Week street style to Mumbai Fashion Week! Check out earlier articles:
