Runway Hair Trends #1: Perfectly Undone
This season we are seeing the effortless yet notable hair trend. The perfectly undone style is a messed up look done in an attractive way. Many design houses like Louis Vuitton, Valentino, DKNY came up with this trend. This is a low-maintenance yet hot trend for SS17!
#2: Long and Wavy
Wavy hair makes its way from winter to summer 2017! This hairstyle would be great for a youthful look. Naturally wavy or straight tops and wavy ends both look good! This look can be both casual (with messy fringes) or for parties (with hair accessories).
#3: Bob Cut/ Cropped Hair
Looking to try a bob? They’re still trendy in 2017! So, go ahead and try out any of these cute cuts. Neck-length is the hottest hair trend and the ear length trend is gone. Also try it with bangs or curls.
#4: Eyebrow-Length Fringes
Update your look with fringes. Perfectly trimmed bangs are what we are seeing this season. The length of the fringes varies from just below the eyebrows to half way of forehead. I’m loving the look by Fendi in which the fringes are straightened and are falling just below the eyebrows.
#5: Curls and Perms
Curls are always trendy and so this trend made its place in this season too! Curls make the hair look fuller. Try curls with messy styles for a really cool look!
Also, check out the article on curly hairstyles.
#6: Hair Accessories
Glam up your hair with bold hair accessories like the dreadlocks and headresses. Also, check out Dolce & Gabbana Spring Summer 2017 collection to have a look at different varieties of hair accessories we saw on the runway! Both embellished hair pins and slim headbands are in this season.
#7: Deep-Side Part
We have been seeing this trend in the past season too! A major part of the hair is held at one side giving a cool look. I’m loving the look from the Fendi show in which a deep side part is worn with eyebrow-length fringes.
The classic braids just got a makeover! This season, we are seeing messy braids and thin top-of the-head braids. In the Dior show, the braids were confined to the back of the head whereas in Alice & Olivia, we saw voluminous messy braids with loose strands. If you wanna go bold with this trend, then braid the entire hair and tie it like in Saint Laurent.
#9: The Side Ponytail
This season, we saw side ponytails in many SS17 fashion shows like Chanel, Fendi, etc. You can also try this style with shorter hair (Giorgio Armani). We have also been seeing the cool knotted ponytail style.
#10: Messy Buns
This trend works great for cocktail parties and weddings. Both chignons and top knots are in trend. You can also try top-buns with fringes to get a perfect messy look! Or add a retro headband or hair pins like in Dolce & Gabbana.
#11: The Wet Look
The wet hair look is one of the slickest hair trends for Spring Summer 2017. We have been seeing the stick-to-scalp hair trend in many of our favorite designer collections. To pull off this trend, tame your waves with product/gel after your wash.
#12: Center Partition
This traditional hair trend is not going out of fashion! This trend looks good on long hair. We saw the simple center-parted hair without any hair accessories in many fashion shows.
#13: Keep It Tight
Expose your forehead this season! This trend is great for the ladies with small forehead. I like the half up look by Marchesa in which all the hair is pulled back and held by pins on either side.
So, these are the runway hair trends for Spring Summer 2017. I liked the trend of perfectly undone hair as it is effortless and easy to pull off. Which trend are you gonna try? We would love to hear from you. Do let us know in comments below!
