Hey elegant! There are a few accessories without which stylish women do not step out. You know what these are – handbag, makeup kit and sunglasses. Sunglasses have become a must-have fashion accessory for women. The world of fashion sunglasses has evolved over the years and makes waves every season. This season, too we are seeing so many new designs in sunglasses. Here are the 11 latest trends in sunglasses we are loving the most!
11 Trends in Sunglasses For Women
1. Contrasting Frames
Contrasting frames are going to be one of the hottest trends in sunglasses for 2017 as we saw these on many runway collections. In this trend, the color of the lens and the frame are in contrast to each other. White frames are the trendiest, followed by pop pinks and blues. Put these on to look cool and trendy!
2. Berry Shades
The lenses are hued in a big way this season. Sunglasses for Spring 2017 will range from brights to black. We have been seeing colors ranging from orange to cherry reds to purple. From rectangular to cat-eye to round, the trend of berry shades works for all shapes of women’s sunglasses!
3. Top Statement
The top part of the sunglasses will be in focus in Spring Summer 2017. Different designers have come up with unique designs on top of the frames – like embellishments and studs. We are also seeing just top-framed sunglasses, like in Alice + Olivia. In Gucci, the frame is embellished just at the top.
4. Mirror Ombre
Ombre is a gradient from one color to another. Mirror sunglasses have been the trend for past few seasons. This season, many runway collections combined these two super trendy looks – mirror and ombre. How cool is this! Get the sexy look with mirror ombre sunglasses and choose embellished frames for afternoon parties!
5. Blade Style
This 80’s style, made famous by Sylvester Stallone, is back in women’s sunglasses style! We saw the blade style in many of our favorite designer collections like Max Mara, Chanel, Versus Versace, etc. The blade style look of Dolce & Gabbana is more like an oversized rectangular with embellishment and mirror lens. Get a casual sporty look this season with blade sunglasses.
6. Embellished Frames
Embellished frames make their way to the top trends in sunglasses this season, too! The embellishments on the Dolce & Gabbana sunglasses are super easy to spot because of their huge size and novelty designs. Choose them when you wanna make a real statement! Where as in Fendi and Coach, the embellishments are kept minimal and so you can easily wear them everyday.
7. Black Lenses
In 2017, jet-black is going to be the It-color! We also saw black lens in many designer collections like Michael Kors, Givenchy, Vera Wang, etc. Black lens with black frame and black lens with contrasting frames are both quite in this season.
8. Round Sunglasses
The cat-eye is giving way to the retro round shades. The round shape of sunglasses is gonna be as popular in 2017 as the rectangular ones. We have been seeing round sunglasses – both with embellishments and with wider frames on the runways.
9. Ombre Oversized
The best shades for women have two major trends of this season – ombre and oversized. Oversized sunnies may vary from mid-nose to the tip of the nose in length. I like the oversized embellished ones by Fendi.
10. Wide Frames
Sleek frames are passé! We saw wide frames all over the runways for 2017. We love the statement broad frames by Giorgio Armani, Salvatore Ferragamo and Dolce & Gabbana.
11. Rectangular Frames
The rectangular sunglasses are quite in this season. For a bold statement, try the mustard colored, oversized rectangular sunglasses by Roberto Cavalli. Here are some more trendy sunglasses:
