When the wedding season is around the corner, the first thought that a guy gets is, what am I gonna wear for millions of ceremonies coming up! But don’t worry, here we have lined up different wedding clothes for men for every ceremony. And yeah, we bet you will not have to repeat a single type of outfit.
Ideas for Wedding Clothes for Men
1. Mehndi Ceremony
Earlier, a mehndi ceremony was just a ladies thing. But now even men become a part of it and is sometimes combined with haldi function. So, guys be prepared to have an extra outfit! This is a simple ceremony but that doesn’t mean you have to be underdressed. Opt for something non-flashy and basic! Like, a plain dark-colored kurta paired with chooridar or a safari suit would be subtle and eye-catching too!
Go for deep colors like mustard, olive, violet or plum to avoid those henna stains! Safari suit would be a good break from formal wear and look trendy too! And yeah no sherwanis please, save them for other, more formal ceremonies!
2. Sangeet
This is the time to show off your style. If you’re dancing, then you don’t want to miss a chance to look super hot! Also, choose something that is comfortable. An embroidered bandhgala or Nehru jacket paired with salwar or trousers would make you stand out in the crowd. As sangeet is an evening ceremony, go for dark colors like royal blue, magenta, wine, etc. Upgrade your style quotient by wearing Kohlapuri sandals.
3. Bachelor or Cocktail Party
A bachelor party is more of a casual event. Wear something trendy like a denim shirt paired with skinny or ripped jeans. And if you wanna try a semi-formal look, then try plaid shirt paired with cropped pants! Basic tee paired with a leather jacket is also a good option to try. For an Indo-western option, try a front-open embroidered vest with black jeans to show off your abs!
4. The D-Day (Phere)
Nothing can beat a sherwani on the day of the wedding! From asymmetric sherwani to jacket to button-placket ones, the options in sherwani designs are unlimited. Choose something trendy but yeah make sure not to make it super-trendy and let the groom be the showstopper! 😉
If the wedding is at night, go for dark-hued sherwanis and if at day, go for white or pastel colors. Pair the sherwani with either jootis or leather shoes. Yeah, you read it right derby and oxford shoes with sherwani are on the current trend radar.

5. Reception
A classic suit for the reception steals the show. Some other options are waistcoat and a formal shirt and trousers paired with a velvet blazer. And if you still wanna try Indian ethnic wear, then sure go for Indian suit, achkan or a bandi! Embroidered Indian suits look super hot, too.
